In the thread "New VRPC Installation Doesn't Start", I
reported a problem <53BC04C0.8020805 at blueyonder.co.uk>
which was solved by removing atapicd.dll.

A week on since I last ran VRPC, after being away from
home, I find I am getting a similar message.

"Acorn RiscPC Emulator with RISC OS Adjust has stopped
working"

This time, it's not atapicd.dll but VirtualRPC-AdjustSA.exe
itself which is the problem. I have a copy of the
installation on another drive and that reported the same
problem too.

Not to be beaten by a mere machine, I renamed the folder
VRPC (which sits in the root of the C drive, installed a
fresh copy of the program, removed atapicd.dll, unlocked
the installation and got the same error message.

I thought it might be something to do with a new second
monitor (identical to my original monitor and donated by a
grateful son who has stopped using it with his own set-up).
I reverted to the original single monitor configuration but
it made no difference. :-((

It's a good job I have VRPC on my laptop, or I'd be
stuffed. I am at my wits' end (not, I stress, at my wit's
end - no mediaeval naughtiness here) so if anyone can give
me some help, I'd be grateful.

John
