There is no "brittleness". I am simply asking you to give me
a chance to reply to an e-mail before posting a message
saying that you have had "...no reply".
 
That's not brittleness, it's manners.
 
If you send a message to a business outside of working hours,
the earliest a reply can be expected is when working hours
next start.
 
Your e-mail arrived after we closed on Friday. Therefore the
earliest a reply could be expected would be start of working
hours Monday morning. Which is when I replied.

So, in future please  allow me time to reply to a business
e-mail before posting that you've not received a reply.
