Where did I say or imply it was nasties arriving with them?

I mean that it might be the apps themselves that are not so stable as 
one might assume.

You and others might like to download and run all three programs 
mentioned. In fact, please do. But don't omit to rip CDs to FLAC files 
with them, or  play FLAC files with them though.

See how often BonkEnc crashes or just disappears of its own volition 
during the conversion of 30 CDs. 10 it will manage without complaint, 
but not usually 30. [No, its not the core temperature, which only 
reaches 56C].

At the same time, you might just ask yourself why BonkEnc takes all 
4+4 i7 cores running at 4GHz to maximum and still only manages to rip 
CDs to FLAC at just 1/4 the speed of a 4GHz Pentium laptop!

we agree.
But its still a nasty bug somewhere. One which I'd rather not have.
