[Virtualacorn-list] Enter key not functioning

I was hoping to see Aaron at the Guildford show but apparently he won't be
there so perhaps someone here can help. Sorry if this has been aired before
but I can'y find any reference.

I am running RiscOS 6 soft loaded over VRPC-SA on a Windows laptop.

The enter key has suddenly ceased to function properly.
In a text editor or word processor it is very reluctant to give me a new
line. If I press it 4 or 5 times or hold it down, it might condescend to do
the job.

When using the filer menu to rename a file or directory or enter a password
the key does not operate at all.

It works perfectly on the Windows side.

My Windows machine has been operating very slowly lately so I've done lots of
scans with SpyBot, AVG 8, Ad-Aware etc. A trojan was found & removed.

I've tried stopping these but the key problem persists.

I've also used CCLeaner to get rid of unwanted stuff & a couple of free
registry cleaners.
I then discovered !Larger would not work as a file from
        IDEFS::h4.$.!Boot.Choices.Users.Single.Boot.Tasks
Had disappeared. I've now sorted that.

The Windows side is still as sluggish as ever.

Could I have inadvertently removed a file crucial to the working of the Enter
key or is there another problem.
Could it be a Thread Priority problem. There might possibly be a very slight
stuttering of the mouse but that may be as it originally was. It's hard to
tell.

Regards,
