I've hit this problem with old software, primarily Sage Line 50. I'm using
v11 & Sage wants £500 to upgrade; the v11 ODBC driver doesn't work on 8. But
as a long term VRPC user, I'm not averse to using a virtual m/c :D, so I
installed VMLite XP Mode & all the old XP stuff gets installed in there.
Both that & VRPC work very well on 8.1, so I'm happy except using VMlite
highlights a huge VRPC annoyance, the double pointer. VMLite shares the same
pointer as W8, so clearly this is possible. Because I have Windows bar on the
left, I'm forever closing VRPC windows because of the double cursor.

Why is there always one teaspoon left in
the bowl after you've done the washing-up?
