For MS Excel files (.xls), your existing extensions file should
already contain the necessary mapping for filetype ba6 (Eureka3?).

However, if it doesn't, try entering ba6 ... xls manually.

On our machines with Schema2, .xls files are then automatically shown
with a Schema icon. Which is nice.

I dunno if that also works for .xlsx as I've no suitable file to
test - try it and see?

For MS Word files (.doc), AFAICT there's no RISC OS extension so Word
files will probably arrive in RISC OS as a text file, named
<filename>/doc.

However, Easi/TechWriter should then be able to import them directly.

Again, I have no suitable .docx file to test. Try it and see?
