Indeedy, that's what I've been doing for years on my Laptop where I have
two copies of VRPC running each with its own Hardrive4  I change the
Model.cfg file in each to point at the required dir for that install.

But as I don't want to mess with the backups, I wasn't going there.

This is the thing I'm really interested in myself, so later when Dr Who is
over and I've had a cuppa, I'm going to have another last play at that USB
HD.
I'll see if the Event Viewer throws up any interesting pointers, if it
does I'll post notes for you.
