[Virtualacorn-list] Detecting HostFS issues

It is well known that HostFS has had problems in the past, with incorrect
timestamps on files being a particular problem.

Is there are way for a RISC OS program running under VA to detect whether
the HostFS has these problems? 

For example, does the Module version change and if so which versions are
ok and which are not.

Or were all the changes in the Windows area, undetectable to a RISC OS
program?
