My advice for running VirtualAcorn, particularly in full screen, is to
create a dedicated user on the PC that is used when running
VirtualAcorn. For that particular user make sure you only run those PC
applications that you consider essential for when you are using RiscOS.
In my case it is applications such as Uniserver and a virus checker that
is configured to only scan files that are downloaded from the internet.

All other PC applications are installed and used under another Windows
user. In particular I also configure my more extensive anti-virus scans
etc to be run under that second user.

Thus if I want to run Risc OS I login as one user, and if I want to run
PC applications I login as the other. This seems to keep things running
smoothly and without serious crashes.
