Dear Keith,

It's just as easy as on real world RISC OS machines, by means of a 
little program, called !SaveCMOS.
Contrary to what the name suggests, it can also retrieve saved CMOS 
settings, as well as resetting the CMOS to the factory defaults - an 
invaluable tool.
However, there's no guarantee that it will solve your problem, of 
course, although it did solve mine.
