[An off-list reply to me that I'm replying to on the list because, for
some reason, my outgoing mail server is objecting to Q's address]

It also looks like it would be a pain for parking - which I'd sort of
need if I want to try it out.

The four I listed are the four I pass often enough to be aware of them.
I fully expected there to be more that I don't know about. :)

I've been in there for a drink with a client - I could be remembering
incorrectly, but it seemed very small (and ISTR I had trouble finding
somewhere to park). Now that you mention it, I'm trying to remember
exactly where it is... not *too* far from where Bath Road and Wells Road
meet?

I want to try to get whoever does the SW Show website (I don't think
it's Richard or Andrew) to list places to eat and drink for visitors -
so it's one to add to the list; but if my recollection is right, it
wouldn't be good for the exhibitors' meal.

(Another consideration for general visitors to the show is that most of
them won't be familiar with Bristol, so ideally the main
pubs/restaurants listed have to be *very* east to find, and close enough
to the show that they can just nip out for lunch without venturing too
far. Further and/or less easy ones should be listed afterwards IMO)

Not familiar with the road.

*calls up Google maps*

Oh - one end is very close to Banco Lounge! :)

Google is highlighting a few places, but not an Italian AFAICS.

Didn't know that - but I shouldn't be surprised given that they have an
exhibition space there.

Ah - it's marked on the map: Bocabar. That's even closer than the
Thunderbolt.

I didn't know there was a cafe there (and it's not shown on the map) -
but one to list. (Only being open during the day is fine for the show
visitors).

I know a few of the exhibitors enjoy a curry, but I detest them, so if
there are none close to the venue that are big enough, that's fine with
me. :)

(For the exhibitors, I'm very drawn to the Black Castle - it's literally
just over the road, so very convenient for everyone.)

TBH, now that I have the map open, I'm surprised at how 'sparse' it is
in terms of pubs/clubs very close to the hotel - and even along Bath
Road in either direction (those mentioned above aside), and along side
streets. Wells Road, OTOH, seems to have quite a few more possibilities.

I feel I may have to do some proper research. ;)
