I've just called the pub to ask about power sockets (non-premium rate phone number 
here for future reference):

I spoke with Maureen, presumably the landlady. Their food customers come first but 
they've no objection in principle to us using a socket. It'll be "mental busy" tomorrow 
night, so we were advised not to go there for a "business meeting".

Anyway, if we can find a suitable table away from food customers and the TV, we should 
be able to use it. (That is, if Vince thinks it'll be safe away from our drinks - perhaps 
2 tables would be best.) We can play it by ear and speak with Kayleigh on the night 
(Maureen isn't working tomorrow).

In any case, we can always just admire the hardware without anything getting turned on 
(so to speak).
