[Bru-list] Logo ideas (and first post!)

Firstly, thanks to those who have taken enough interest to subscribe to the
mailing list - at the moment, it's only seven people including me, but
that's still six more than the first time I set this mailing list up, when
the original Bristol user group disbanded!

Secondly, and to the real point of this message:

The objective is to see if there is enough interest out there to form a new
user Bristol based group and, as per my initial discussions with Trevor
Johnson (who's idea the whole thing is) this list is the starting point of
that. People can subscribe to this before (and irrespective of whether) a
proper user group is formed, and then we can use it to discuss the
possibilities.

I also envisage the list being useful for RISC OS users in a slightly wider
area than just Bristol - in an ideal world, if the new group is formed, the
list will be a key part in the group's ongoing existence, as well as a way
to keep those susbscribers too far afield to make it to actual group
meetings.

The problem is making people aware that the list exists, and that we are
trying to guage the amount of potential there is for a new group.

In three weeks time, we have the ideal opportunity - the South West Show.
It's reasonable to assume that a large proportion of the visitors to the
show will be local enough for either or both of the list or the possible
group to be relevant to them. Unfortunately, however, I am unable to attend
- I have a five or so hour drive home that day.

Jim Nagel has kindly offered, therefore, to print some flyers announcing the
group and make them available from his stand (thanks Jim).

With that in mind, and using the old Bristol Area RISC OS User Group logo as
a basis, I've come up with three possible logo ideas to use on the flyer.
The idea is to have something familiar to members of the old group, but at
the same time, something new, representing the fact that we are hopefully
going to start a new group.

My initial ideas can be found at:

Comments, suggestions, etc are welcome both there and here.

However, note that any flyer design (and therefore the logo) needs to be
decided on fairly quickly - although the show is three weeks away, the real
deadline for me is less than two weeks; that five or so hour drive home will
be preceeded by a five or so hour drive the other way, a week earlier. ;)

Is there any scope for a new Bristol RISC OS user group?
